▌Chinese procuratorates support more disadvantaged people in filing lawsuits

▌In the first half of this year, procuratorates across China assisted elderly people, disabled people and women suffering domestic violence in filing 43,000 civil lawsuits, 21.9 percent more than the figure for 2022, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) said. Those people who receive assistance faced harm to their interests but were afraid to file lawsuits or had no knowledge on the subject, according to the SPP.

7月19日，最高檢通報了2023年上半年檢察工作情況，全國檢察機關對權益受損但不敢或不懂起訴的老年人、殘疾人和受家暴婦女等，支持提起民事訴訟43000件，同比上升21.9％。

▌Chinese procuratorates also provided assistance to 37,000 legal case victims who were facing living difficulties as a result, up 65.7 percent year on year, the SPP said.

全國檢察機關對因案致生活陷入困境的受害方加大司法救助力度，共救助37000人，同比上升65.7%。
